The Silver Puck Challenge is the flag ship of the An Edge Above fleet. The SPC we started in 2005 and has grown from twelve (12) teams and one weekend, to a full month of great adult hockey action.

All bracket at the Silver Puck Challenge are driven by the guidelines set by the AEA Salary Cap System. All brackets, teams and players are given a dollar value based on playing experience, age and gender. All teams should fit within the guidelines of their desired bracket.

• Fredonia Cup (A) | ACHA+ Skilled Players
• VanValkenburg Cup (B+) | High School Skilled Players
• Taxi Squad Bracket (B/B+) | Experienced Beer League with some more skilled players.
• Jonkman Cup (B) | Gen-Rec & HS over 30 Skilled Players
• Potter Cup (C) | Gen-Rec, less than 5 years of playing experience.
• John English Memorial Cup (30+, I) | 30+ Years of Age, Competitive
• Perz Cup (30+, II) | 30+ Years of Age, Experienced Beer League
• Morgan Cup (40+) | 40+ Years of Age, Competitive
• Rooster Cup (Competitive COED) | Experienced Gen-Rec, High School and up.
• Johnson Cup (Gen-Rec COED) | Lower Experienced, focused on fun and friends.

alumni privilege & waiting list

We always invite our alumni teams back before we go to the public. An alumni team will have first opportunity to stay, move to a new bracket or drop. Once all alumni captains have made their decision we will ask the public if they would like to join the SPC.
