Kevin Vanderberg has been inducted into the AEA Hall of Fame.
kevin vanderbergKevin has been participating in the AEA since 2014. As the Captain of Torque, he has lead his team to multiple Silver Puck Challenge championship games. His first SPC title would come at SPCXI (2015) with a win over Maroon Union (2-1) in the Jonkman Cup (B). The following year (2016) Maroon Union would deny Torque the back-to-back title with a 4-3 overtime win. Kevin and the boys would fight their way back to the finals for their third straight year in 2017. This is where they would go and forth with Denny McLean's REDDOGS in a grindfest at SPCXIII (2017). Kevin and Torque would pull out the win in overtime and claim their second title in three years.
Kevin would move his team to the VanValkenburg Cup (B+) in 2018 at Silver Puck Challenge XIV. Torque would fight their way through the round-robin games and find themselves going head-to-head with Denny McLean's REDDOGS once again in the championship finals. Torque would claw their way through and pull out the win, 7-5. Kevin would also win a Petter-Kellogg Cup (RCOED) in 2018 with the Gongshow, with a 5-1 win over VETSports. Kevin would win four Silver Puck Challenge titles in the span of three years.
Kevin would take all of his success at the Silver Puck Challenge, and join the Dekes & Dangles pond hockey tournaments at FTK Ice Center. At Dekes & Dangles III (2018), Kevin would be denied has first D&D title at the hands of the Spider Monkeys (10-7). In the A Bracket at Dekes & Dangles V (2020); Kevin would finally lay his on the championship crest with a 13-10 victory over the Puck Boys. Kevin now holds titles in two of the three AEA tournament circuits. He only needs to lift the Kegger Cup over his head at Hockey Hold'em to earn the AEA All Around Champion honor.
