The AEA Salary Cap System is a way to make a teams within our brackets more comparable and competitive during a tournament. Each bracket at the Silver Puck Challenge and Dekes & Dangles tournaments will be given a dollar value that their team should be between.
We understand that the AEA Salary Cap System is not perfect, but it has helped greatly in making captains and teams more aware of their rosters overall skill level. We don't want stacked teams at our events. We want all teams to have a chance at hoisting one of our cups.
Fredonia Cup (A): No Restrictions
VanValkenburg Cup (B+): $9.00-$9.25 million
SPC Taxi Squad (B/B+): $8.25-$8.50 million
Jonkman Cup (B): $7.00-$7.25 million
Potter Cup (C): $4.75-$5.00 million
Elite (30+, I): No Restrictions
John English Memorial Cup (30+, Tier II): $7.25-$7.50 million
Perz Cup (30+, Tier III): $6.00-$6.25 million
Morgan Cup (40+): $6.25-$6.50 million
Rooster Cup (Competitive COED): $5.75-$6.00 million
Johnson Cup (Rec-COED): $4.50-$4.75 million
Your team's AEA Salary Cap total for the Silver Puck Challenge will be based on the top ten (10) valued skaters and goalie.
A/B+ Bracket: $4.80 million & above
B Bracket: $3.40 million - $3.70 million
C Bracket: Less than $2.50 million
30+ Bracket: $4.10 million - $4.40 million
40+ Bracket: $3.40 million - $3.70 million
COED Bracket: $3.00 million - $3.20 million
Women's Bracket: $2.45 - $2.70 million
D&D Pond Hockey Championship Series: $3.75 million - $4.00 million
Your team's AEA Salary Cap total for Dekes & Dangles will be based on your top six (6) skaters values.

The AEA has been bringing adult "beer league" hockey tournaments to west Michigan for over 20 years. Established in 2005, we have delivered some of the most competitive and unique tournament formats to the state. Our goal is to insure that all teams have the same opportunities to compete and win. Winning a "beer league" hockey tournament isn't something you do, it's something to be remembered.
