#18 | Paul Penninga has become an AEA All Around Champion.
Paul PenningaPaul Penniga has become our 18th AEA All Around Champion. Paul won his first AEA title at Hockey Hold'em III (2017). He would snag his next AEA title at Dekes & Dangles IX (2024) with the Spider Monkeys. The wait wasn't too long until Paul would have his shot at glory, and lifting his first Silver Puck Challenge cup in May of 2025 at SPCXXI. His team would do it dramatic fashion with his Penninga Farms team putting up back-to-back shutouts; once in the final game of round-robin play and another in the championship game. By noon on Sunday, May 4th, 2025; Paul would become the 18th member of the AEA All Around Champions club.

The AEA has been bringing adult "beer league" hockey tournaments to west Michigan for over 20 years. Established in 2005, we have delivered some of the most competitive and unique tournament formats to the state. Our goal is to insure that all teams have the same opportunities to compete and win. Hockey Hold'em is a one of kind adult "gambling" hockey tournament played with drafted teams of all different skill levels, ages and genders. If you want to be champion at Hockey Hold'em you're going to have to "Gamble Your Way to the Top!" [MORE INFO]
Dekes & Dangle Pond Hockey Invitational is currently the only pond hockey tournament being played in west Michigan. Dekes & Dangles is "Pond Hockey for only the Strong. The facility includes heated cabins, a chilling system and a lights for night time play. [MORE INFO]
