Neil Roelofs has been inducted into the AEA Hall of Fame
neil roelofsNeil has been playing in the AEA since 2012. He is the captain of VanDam, he brought his first Silver Puck Challenge team to the Rooster Cup (CCOED) at SPCVIII.
Neil has seen Championship Sunday on a number of occasions. He would make is first finals appearance at Silver Puck Challenge VIII (2012) against Jabackass. VanDam would fall short in a 6-1. In 2013 at SPCIX, VanDam would make it the finals once again and would pull out the overtime win over Jabackass (5-4). Unfortunately Neil would not be in attendance due to alarm clock malfunction. He was only able to watch through the glass as his team celebrated the win. Missing out on his first AEA title Neil would have to wait two (2) years before he would have another shot at a championship. VanDam would win an extremely tight game against annual contenders BLB (2-1) at Silver Puck Challenge XI (2015).
The next winter at the inaugural Dekes & Dangles pond hockey tournament at FTK Ice Center his team would be the first ever champions of the tournament. VanDam would bring home the crest over Wild Cards (11-7). Neil would have two of three AEA title necessary to claim the rights to be called an AEA All Around Champion. During the summer of 2016 at Hockey Hold'em II a 5-4 overtime win would allow Neil to lift the Kegger Cup over his head and become the first ever AEA All Around Champion. He would solely hold this honor for a total of 503 days.
Neil would add to the trophy case with another SPC championship at Silver Puck Challenge XIII (2017). This Rooster Cup (CCOED) title would come against Jabackass with a final score of 3-1. He would then collect another Hockey Hold'em title at HHIV (2018) with another 5-4 overtime win.
