aea history

Sam has been playing in the AEA since 2012. She is the captain of BLB, and she brought her first Silver Puck Challenge team to the Rooster Cup (CCOED) at SPCVIII.

Sam is no stranger to Championship Sunday. Her teams have made it to the finals for three (3) straight years between 2014-2016. An SPC championship would have to wait and a new tournament was introduced to the AEA world. With the introduction of the Dekes & Dangles pond hockey tournaments at FTK Ice Center a new door would open and new title opportunities would arise.

Sam would win her first AEA title at Dekes & Dangles III in 2018. BLB would take the crest away from the Wild Cards with a 14-6 win in the COED Bracket. She would follow up her D&DIII title with another COED championship at Dekes & Dangles V (2020). It was a 12-8 battle against the annual contenders VanDam. Sam and BLB have established themselves as one of the powerhouses of the pond hockey arena.

In June of 2020, Sam would join the PK Cup (RCOED) at Silver Puck Challenge XVI. BLB would fight their way through the rounds and find their way to Championship Sunday. The stars would align for Sam Johnson and BLB and they would claim their first SPC championship. It would be an overtime thriller against Complete Cell-ution (3-2). BLB would successfully defend their PK Cup (RCOED) title with another championship win at Silver Puck Challenge XVII (2021) with a 3-0 shutout over the Gong Show.

Between SPC championships Sam would add another Dekes & Dangles ring to her collection. This COED championship would come at Dekes & Dangles VI (2021) over VanDam in a very fast paced finals (12-11). Sam & BLB would also make her into the finals at Silver Puck Challenge XVII (2021) in the Rooster Cup (CCOED).

Sam now looks to add a Kegger Cup/Hockey Hold'em championship to the trophy case and become an AEA All Around Champion.
