Kurt has been a part of the the Silver Puck Challenge since the beginning (2005). He would become an established member of the AEA officiating crew over the following years. Kurt has always been one of the consistent tournament officials at our shows; with his years of experience he has been one of the most tournament participant requested referees. He is a great communicator and is willing to explain any situation to both players, benches and staff. Between games Kurt has been a mentor to the AEA; he gives his advice one what he sees and hears from the ice. He understands the on-ice player perspective and proven himself in some very difficult decision making moments through out the years.

Take note, he'll also give you a warning when you go to far; cross the line and the showers will be waiting for you. The AEA Commissioner has enjoyed an early shower or two over the years himself; courtesy of Mr. Romero.
